20 years of making, one app
Every creative skill I've built over two decades - design, engineering, product thinking, photography - funneled into one thing. Moment Pro Camera II. A ground-up rebuild of the pro camera app for iPhone.
25,000 pre-orders before launch. #1 paid camera app on the App Store. 10x the reach of any competitor - not from ads, from word of mouth around our Natural Processing.
This is how we built it.
What people are saying
"The new Moment Pro Camera is honestly the best camera app I've used."
"Excellent UI - really impressive work making a complicated tool intuitive without watering down its depth."
"What Moment absolutely nailed is the one-handed control."
"Beautiful, functional UX and great photo results with natural processing!"
Building a new kind of pro camera

I'd been waiting for this shot for years. When the chance came, I couldn't miss.
The old app had history, but it was stuck. The UI felt clunky, the codebase creaked, and we hadn't made money on it for years. Still, people loved what it stood for - a camera that gave them control.
The mission: rebuild from the ground up. Keep what mattered. Redefine everything else.
What Is Pro?
Pro isn't about knobs or jargon. It's about trust. When you pick up a pro tool, you know it won't fight you. The controls are right where you expect. Every decision feels intentional.
We looked beyond camera apps - to synths, controllers, and physical cameras. Tools made to perform under pressure. Their tactility brings confidence. Their restraint keeps you sharp.
We brought that same logic into software. Every interaction, every gesture, in its right place.

Designing Around the Thumb
Pro workflows live and die on speed. So we shaped the app around reach and rhythm - where your thumb rests, what you need at a glance, what happens next.
The design needed to feel mechanical yet alive. Restrained yet expressive.

The Action Plate
At the core sits the Action Plate - a dedicated control surface inspired by real camera LCDs. Dependable. Familiar. Quick to learn, hard to forget.
It's not just a UI element. It's a philosophy: clarity first, then control.
It's controversial - but those that love it, LOVE IT.
"Feels like a real tool again."
"The layout just clicks."
Skins and Looks let creators make the app their own - and give us a sustainable business model that isn't a subscription. You buy your camera once. You upgrade it through what inspires you.

What's Next
Version 1.0 was the foundation. More pro features, new creative workflows, and an expanding store for Looks and Skins are all on the way.
Pro Camera II is a living instrument. It evolves alongside the people who use it.
